Last emergency earthquake house moved off Linwood Park
The last of the temporary earthquake relief housing units at Linwood Park has been removed, 10 years after the first of the Canterbury quakes.
Forty-two homes were set up at the Aldwins Rd park after the February 2011 earthquake to house some of those displaced by the disaster.
The last was removed about 3am on Friday. They had been sitting empty since March, and some had suffered significant vandalism. The land will be reinstated into the park.
