Hundred year flood on Heathcote River
Flood waters have gone over the banks of the Heathcote River in Woolston and opawa and is creeping into the houses. Children were trapped in one house on Sheldon st and rescuers helped them climb through a window to escape. The banks are long overdue for building up. Take care tonight. It is high tide as of 4 pm. It would be a good idea to check on your neighbors. God bless.
