I need to practice filming (DSLR) moving subjects a bit more for a friends wedding video. Without looking dodgy filming people and kids at the local park, I thought it would be easier practising on dogs. (of course I'd still ask for permission).

It looks like it's been through the wars – scarily thin, with what looks like an infected left eye. There is also a lot of puss in both eyes. It's right eye looks bloodshot, and the left ear and nose both look very sore. S/he is very friendly. For the past few days I have been feeding it on McCombs St (Selwyn St end) and providing a little TLC, but I think it needs to be taken to a vet. Just curious as to whether s/he is homeless, abandoned, or perhaps has run away? Any help would be great, thanks.
