Bookarama starts this Thursday

Just a reminder that Bookarama starts at 9am at the Addington Raceway Clubhouse this Thursday and goes until 2pm Sunday. As usual,n addition to all the books, there will also be a huge selection of jigsaws and puzzles, DVDs and CDs A big thank you to everyone who has made donations, the response has been amazing and it looks like this will be our biggest sale ever .

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
