MENS SHED TOOL APPEAL
Subject: Mens shed tool appeal.
Thanks to the generosity of Summerset on Cavendish retirement village, they have donated a brand new facility for use as a men's shed which will help us oldies to create projects for charity, and also enable us to continue our hobbies and do minor repairs and jobs for those residents who are are no longer able to do these themselves.
And to this end we are appealing to the very generous members of Neighbourly for donations of tools which you no longer need or use, to equip our now empty workshop. Any tools ( hand or machine ) would be greatly appreciated , and would be put to very good use by some of our very skilful residents and would help them pass their days productively. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and well loved and cared for. Thank you.

DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.
Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.
For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.
Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?

Building job
I would like a pantry made in the gap the old hot water tank used to be. This involves a wall being taken out but it isn't load bearing.
Also a shelter outside over the bin area needs replacing.
I have tried Builders Crack and of the 3 only one turned up and I want more estimates.
Any recommendations of builders or handyman who are happy to at least have a look.
