Christchurch to net $40m after agreeing to Government water reforms
The Christchurch City Council has agreed to sign up to the first stage of Government plans for nationwide reform to the water sector.
The council will share information on its water network with neighbouring councils and central government and discuss working together in the future.
The deal will likely net Christchurch $40 million to help patch up its creaking water infrastructure. A positive step for the garden city?
