Merry Christmas from the Coastal Burwood Community Board!

The Team from Christchurch City Council

Kia ora Coastal-Burwood residents,

We at the Coastal-Burwood Community Board and Council want to thank you all for another amazing year with our one-of-a-kind community!

This year has been one which has proved the importance of celebrating our special community.

Over the year, we celebrated the completion of the Jetty and Boardwalk, green thumbs at the Garden Pride Awards and most notably, the opening of the Taiora: QEII Recreation and Sport Centre.

The opening of Taiora: QEII was welcomed with open arms out here in the East, and we are so thankful for your support in making it happen.

The amendment to the Christchurch District Plan has been a win for our community. A big thanks to all those involved who supported the Board in successfully obtaining this approval.

Thank you all for having your say on new developments in our area, like QEII Park and the Thomson Park upgrade.

From a new Disc Golf at Queenspark Reserve to new macrocarpa benches from the Lions Club for south of the pier… the East is where it’s at!

We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We can’t wait to see what 2019 has to bring the East!

From the Coastal-Burwood Community Board and the Christchurch City Council.

Addictive Eaters Anonymous

The Team from Addictive Eaters Anonymous - Christchurch

How much does it cost to join AEA?

There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
