Police appeal for information on aggravated robbery
Police want to hear from anyone who may have been in the area and seen the man running from the scene or noticed anything else out of the ordinary around that time.
The incident occurred at Erawan Thai Restaurant at the intersection of Shirley and Hills Roads around 6:45pm last night. A man entered the store with a knife and demanded money from staff members. Staff and guests ran from the restaurant out a side door and were uninjured in the incident. Police are ensuring the victims are supported.
The man has proceeded to take a significant amount of cash from the till and run from the restaurant down Shirley Road towards New Brighton.
