A team of us at Canterbury and Selwyn Plunket are hosting a Christmas Party Fundraiser at the Te Hāpua Halswell Centre this Saturday 30th November and we would love for you all to come along. It's a comedy bingo night with Bingo Babes Ethel & Bethel, guaranteed laughs and heaps of amazing prizes. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
