Dumped Car
This car (rego AFC 499) was dumped in Champion St about 2 1/2 months ago. Road tax has expired. Called CCC to have it removed. They say they can't do anything because (incredibly) it still has a WOF that does not expire until January 2019. So in total we are looking at having this piece of trash on our street for over 6 months. This I might add is the same council that won't empty your bin if the lid is open half an inch. Can't do anything? How about getting onto the owner and telling them if it is not moved it will be towed and destroyed?

☔️ Where’d the summer go?
It’s the talk of the town (and every coffee queue): the Canterbury "summer" has felt a bit wet this year! We’ve definitely had our fair share of grey skies and raincoats lately 🌧️ In fact, the Post reports that Christchurch experienced almost double our usual!
While the forecast is looking bright for this weekend (fingers crossed!), we aren't out of the woods ... there are a few more cold fronts lining up before winter hits.
