With indoor weather fast approaching its a good time to get your indoor spaces sorted to enjoy those longer winter evenings. Welcome winter head on:
- install a new fire
- double glaze larger chilly windows
- insulate high use areas
- add cover to your front entrance so you don't get drenched fumbling for keys
- update floor coverings to lush thick carpet
- add storage for winter coats, umbrellas and winter toys
- subscribe to Netflix and hibernate until spring
Loose/Lost dog on Office Road near Merivale Reserve
There is a brown boxer looking dog loose on Office Road near the Merivale Reserve. I was out with my dog so I kept my distance. If it’s still there tomorrow morning I’ll call the council.

Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫
