Recycling

Patrick Koot from Elusion Electrical Ltd

With the new year we thought we would remind our customers of our recycling policy.

We try our hardest to recycle everything we can, including taking away all of our own rubbish and your broken lamps, heaters, towel rails, heat pumps etc. When Patrick gets home he breaks all light fittings down to plastic, and metal into separate bins which can be a time consuming job. Then every few weeks he does a big recycle run to our nearest Ecodrop and dump. We estimate by breaking it all down more than 3/4 is able to be recycled.

While we don't pass of any of this extra cost to our customers its still a win win for us ....the dogs get very excited about the trip in the old ute for the dump run ..and the nice staff at ecodrop give them a lot of pats and a treat on the way out....and it leaves the environment better for our children and future grandchildren. Most companies don't recycle due to a mixture of time and cost restraint and just not being aware about the long term damage.

Please if you do wish to have your old parts left for any reason just remind Patrick at time of job and we will happily do this.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
