Pretty sunset...
It has been an eventful time on Geraldine Street - a grenade was found over the fence alongside my driveway a few weeks ago causing the evacuation and cordoning off of several surrounding properties for a few hours, and then at 11pm last night a drink driver crashed into 3 parked cars writing off all those and the one he was driving - police breathalyzed him and he was well over the limit, but he resisted arrest so they bundled him onto the ground, cuffed him and threw him in a squad car - a passenger was injured and taken to hospital. But despite all that unnecessary excitement the sunset was beautiful tonight... its not all terrible things... ;)
Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? π»π¨π
In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?
What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
-
32.1% The sting of a fine (Money talks!)
-
67.9% The threat of demerit points (Nobody wants to lose their license!)

How much does it cost to join AEA?
There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
