We at the Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board and Council want to thank you all for another amazing year with our one-of-a-kind community!
With significant community facilities coming for Hornby and Riccarton, a fantastic new skate park for Knights Stream and construction underway on stage two of Riccarton Road’s upgrade, it’s been quite a year!
Riccarton Road has come a long way this year, with the completion of stage one of its upgrade.
The Wigram Air Crash Memorial unveiling, the Hello Hornby event, new toilets for Harrington Park and Halswell Quarry’s Patterson House’s new look are some of our highlights for the busy year that’s been.
We are so grateful for all of your support in the community, and we cannot wait to see what 2019 brings for southwest Christchurch.

Hello Hornby - Your community party in the park

The legendary Hello Hornby is back on Saturday 7 March, and we’re taking over Wycola Park from midday to 3pm! 🎪
This year, we’re getting weird with the letter H. Why? Because Hornby is Heaps of fun, Home to the best people, and... well, we just like the letter. 💁♂️
THE CHALLENGE:
Come in Fancy Dress starting with H.
Are you showing up as a Hero? A Hippie? A Hungry Hippo? Or perhaps a Humble piece of Halloumi? 🧀
There are great prizes up for grabs, so don't be a Hermit—get your costume sorted! 🏆
