Outcome of Gardening Group Meeting

Bev Adams from Woolston Development Project

An initial meeting was held at Woolston Development Project on Wednesday, 20 November. There were a number of ideas to consider for the future of the group which included whether another community garden was needed, the possibility of guest speakers on specialist gardening topics, swapping surplus seeds and plants between members, visiting gardens within the wider community, tutorials on how to create gardens when you have no room for a garden etc.
It was decided to gather more information for the next meeting early next year especially around the need for another community garden or supporting the existing ones. It was a suggestion to invite Michael Reynolds from Roimata Garden Common and Jenny from Opawa Community Garden . Notice of the next meeting will be provided after the Christmas break.
