Volunteers Needed for Friday Street Food Market

Magdalene from Aidanfield

Hi Neighbours,

Friday Street Food Market at Cathedral Square is organizing some entertainment for kids this Friday, 20 Jul, and a few volunteers are needed to help supervise the bouncy castle, treasure hunt and lolly scramble. You will be rewarded with a free meal of your choice from any of the Food Vendors at the market. So, if you think you can:

☆ spare a couple hours of your precious time or perhaps getting your children to volunteer
☆ are not afraid to mingle around and have some fun with the kids
☆ love to try some yummy international food;
then message me by Tuesday, 17 July.

Here's the details of the volunteering hours:
Treasure Hunt & Lolly Scramble:
11.30am to 1.30pm - 1 volunteer
5pm to 7pm - 1 volunteer

Bouncy Castle:
4 to 8pm - 1 volunteer
Or alternatively
4 to 6pm - 1 volunteer
6 to 8pm -.1 volunteer

Cheers
Magdalene

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? 🛻🚨🚓

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?

Addictive Eaters Anonymous

The Team from Addictive Eaters Anonymous - Christchurch

How much does it cost to join AEA?

There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
