For example, Jan had two painters provide quotes for some painting and wallpaper work. She chose her painter and the work was completed. Two weeks later she noticed bumps and lumps in the wallpaper, that she hadn’t noticed at the time the bill was paid.
With a faulty product, you can return it and ask for a repair, replacement or refund. But that’s not so easy with a service! But Jan’s story ended well, the painter came back and rectified the problem at no cost to Jan.

The immediate smell was revolting, and now seven weeks later it is still unpleasant. According to The Flooring Centre the smell is coming from something else in my house, and the fact that it started when the vinyl was laid is pure coincidence. I have had to hire some environmental scientists to conduct tests. Onsite they assured me the gases are coming from the vinyl, or the glue, but I have to wait for a written report. Flooring Centre is adamant that this is a coincidence. They told me to ventilate the room, and provided an industrial fan for me to use, (doors and windows wide open in single digit temperatures). Then they told me I just have a sensitive nose. The last seven weeks have been ghastly, and the end is not in sight.

Drivers are being urged to take extra care on Christchurch and Banks Peninsula roads today as the heavy rain is likely to cause surface flooding and make roads slippery.
