Stuff reporters explore their neighbourhoods as part of a new series called Round Our Way.
From Stuff student reporter Samantha Mythen: I live in Ilam, Christchurch, and exploring somewhere different each day is one of my favourite new hobbies.
In the morning, I set out in one direction and head for a run around the Mona Vale gardens. There's a divine rose garden, and a pond full of lily pads and colours reflecting the autumnal leaves of the trees standing guard around the glade. Continue reading here.

We will be open from the 28th April for all Electrical jobs (until this date we will continue in essiental services). Our risk assessment will remain in place including checking everyone in the house has been well and we also practice distancing and increased hand hygiene, and wearing a mask if appropriate. We also commit to you that if anyone in our house is unwell we will delay job untill we are 100% satisfied it is safe. The great thing about being a family business and our teens remaining at home for online school is that it strengthens our abilty to keep our clients safer.
Now is the time to book all those jobs that have annoyed you for the last 4 weeks: the upgrades to LED lights, oven, rangehood installs, getting rid of that old partially working heat pump for a new one or getting heat transfer kits and heaters installed for winter.
Stay safe team and see you in a week.
As always please don't hesitate to phone us if you have any queries.

During COVID-19 lockdowns overseas, we've seen someone run a half marathon on a tiny balcony and the distance of Everest up and down a staircase. What will we see next in New Zealand!?

Luckily for them, they'd already done the hard yards, building the platform, testing the site and enticing dozens of artisan suppliers to get on board.
The pressure to help suppliers get their goods out swiftly convinced the Canterbury couple to bring the site to life early, launching the Marker2u shop in late March.
