Concrete

Jenny from Linwood

Thanks to those who suggested where I might find a firm to do some concreting for us. However even going to Buildercrack and contacting three companies each one who said they would arrange a quote tomorrow, I still have not had one visit to quote, Worse still I have now contacted about 12 companies in and around CH-Ch and cannot even get someone to come and look at the job. It appears that there is so much work on new subdivisions here that no-one is interested in the one off job s. I am really disappointed. It seems we will have to live with a "boxed and base course filled back yard for a long time to come. This is not the Christchurch I yearned to return to. If anyone has any suggestions for this elderly couple we would be very happy to hear them.

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? πŸ›»πŸš¨πŸš“

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?

How much does it cost to join AEA?

There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
