Shirley Toy Library opening time
The Shirley Toy Library is a not for profit community service run by a committee of volunteers and two librarians. We are just like a book library except you borrow toys. We are located in Amos place, just off Marshlands Road near the Palms. The Library stocks nearly 1500 toys for ages from newborn to 5+. Our new opening times are:
Wednesdays 9.30am - 11.30am
Saturdays 9.00am - 1.00pm
Like us on faceboook for regular updates/holiday info and sometimes competitions.
From 1st April we have new membership options. Toys range from 50c to $3.50 per two week hire. See our website for more details: www.shirleytoylibrary.co.nz...
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
