Spiritual & Wellbeing Expo Sat 10 August

SPIRITUAL & WELLBEING EXPO IS ON THIS SATURDAY AT SPREYDON SCHOOL,11 - 4pm. $5 entry under 12 years free. Entry fee includes the workshops on the day at no additional charge (see below)
. 33 Stall holders are booked.

(The main carpark is now off Mathers Rd, the smaller carpark at 50 Hoon Hay Road is only a small service entrance carpark). Street parking also available on Hoon Hay Road.


WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

12 – 12.30 Kim Mehlhopt “Sounds Like Spirit” Medium and Reader. Kim will be delivering messages from spirit and provide some impromptu spiritual teaching. Pop along and enjoy Kim’s bubbly energy/receive some guidance.

12.35 – 1.05 Janine Burns will be presenting an informative talk on Oxidative Stress and the “new to New Zealand” innovative and much talked about ‘Nrf2 Activator’ aka the LYP (Little Yellow Pill). Oxidative stress is a naturally occurring activity within the body, but due to modern day living it has gotten out of control. Excessive Oxidative Stress is the root cause of most illnesses and disease. Come and listen in to find out how this break-through in science can help slow down and reverse Oxidative Stress

1.10 – 1.40 Sandy Benseman – Spirit Medium The talented Sandy will be delivering messages from spirit in her workshop. Make sure you pop along and see if she has a message for you. Sandy is well known within Christchurch for her mediumship work.

1.45 – 2.30 David Arkenstone Barnett “Photographer/Painter and Lecturer” originally from London England, David is predominantly known in NZ for his work in Ufology, a path that opened to him over 32 years ago whilst serving in the NZ navy. In this scenario the ship he served on had a close encounter with a USO (Unidentified Submerged Object) out in the pacific, an experience that left a profound effect on David and ultimately his direction in life, which has been one of self-discovery, personal development and research. David will talk to you today about his experiences with UFOs and other interesting encounters.

2.35 – 3.05 Jackie Timms “Kia ora Whanau, Ko Jackie toku ingoa. My Name is Jacqueline, most know me as Jackie the APORO Apple Tree. I will be doing a mini healing meditation and also channelling, bridging the Gap with Uanuku the Rainbow God to join you all to your beautiful Tupuna family trees and their Aroha loving flow of Colour to brighten the wae wae (foot steps) & messages from loved ones. Sometimes waiata songs flow with faith to shine your true colours of time. Nga mihi Jackie”

Poll: Should we ditch daylight saving? 🕰️

First introduced in New Zealand in 1927 with the passing of the Summer Time Act, it's what we know as 'Daylight Saving' and this year it ends on the first Sunday in April.

While we do get to sleep in this time around, some people would like to scrap the clock tinkering for good.

And why? Some evidence suggests the time changes are bad for our health as they mess with sleep patterns leading to short-term fatigue and affecting mood. Meanwhile the hour change is frustrating for farmers and a nightmare for getting the littlies to sleep. But what's your take?
