Bookarama 2025 is coming and we need your donations
The Cashmere Rotary Club is once again raising funds for charity with another Bookarama.
This year’s sale will be held at the Addington Raceway Clubhouse from 16 to 19 October and we need your donations of books, CDs, LPs, DVDs, Jigsaws and Games. Open from 9am to 6pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 9am to 2pm Sunday. Collecting of donated items starts on 15 September. Prices start at just $1. EFTPOS available. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
