Summer-field Community Picnic at Somerfield Park on Sunday 3rd December from 11.30am to 2.30pm.

Julie Tobbell from Somerfield Residents Association

We welcome families and individuals to join us at our 'Summer'-field Community picnic on Sunday 3rd December from 11.30 to 2.30pm. We aim to 'Keep it Simple Somerfield' while encouraging our community to have fun and connect together and listen to CHris Williams - local singer.
Free ice blocks, treats, music and spot prizes will be at Somerfield Park.
Due to constraints by CCC & consent needed for serving food or having any infrastructure (ie: bouncy castle/ tents) etc at a public park - we have elected to encourage a simpler version for a community event! Hopefully, if this works - more similar & informal events may be created in future!?!

Feel welcome to share this event on to others.

Covid update - National figures

Gordon from Halswell

Another worrying week with an almost doubling of the cases in the National figures. It shows how easy it is to flare up if we drop our guards

Canterbury rose from 444 to 667 but once again the rest of the country rose even more, hence our % of the National figure dropped but we did have 223 more cases.
The winter cold and flu might be contributing, but winter is not really here yet.
Stay safe folks.
