Room for rent in large villa : Somerfield

Frances from Somerfield

Hi neighbors.

We have a large sunny double bedroom for rent in our villa in Somerfield.
The bedroom is a good size with large wardrobe and gets the sun in the afternoons.

The house has 3 bedrooms, 1 sunroom, 1 bathroom and 2 toilets.

We like to maintain a tidy well kept home with many original features. There are two large living areas and a small easy care section. The home is fully furnished with the exception of the bedroom advertised.

There are two long term existing quiet respectful and easy going male flatmates who are looking forward to sharing with someone like minded. Please note there are also two friendly cats.
The rent p/wk is $145.00 plus expenses.
There is off road parking and unlimited fiber broadband.

The home is close to Barrington mall, the Beckenham shops, bus services, bars and restaurants, Barrington medical center, gyms and a lot more.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Addictive Eaters Anonymous

The Team from Addictive Eaters Anonymous - Christchurch

After ten years of depression, my life had hit rock bottom

I remember being ‘different’ around food for most of my life. This included things such as being the person who had two cream buns at morning tea when everyone else had one; eating icing sugar by the spoonful directly from the packet; and being the family member who went into the kitchen after dinner to eat the leftovers. There are numerous other examples – too many to list. I could overeat anything. If I couldn’t get my preferred favourites (e.g. chocolate), I’d be eating the vegetables.
