New Liquor Store (Bottle O?) proposed for Milton Street / Barrington Street Corner
A New liquor store is being proposed for Milton St / Barrington Street corner and submissions are due to close by 6th September. Very little information has been released about this latest ?'Bottle O' liquor store - possibly very similar to the one opened in Selwyn Street on Friday.
Despite submissions this Selwyn Street liquor store was able to obtain a license and open.
There are already adequate options in Barrington Mall / Spreydon area without another liquor store encouraging our youth and already alcohol dependent residents living/ drinking in the Barrington Park area.
There is Super Liquor Barrington, Barrington Fresh Choice and other bars in the area - do we need another one in the area???
Please sign the online petition via Change.org or write in a submission to let them know your views and if /where possible please speak in support of your views.
To make an objection please email: alcohollicensing@ccc.govt.nz
Objections have even more impact than petitions apparently.
Thanks for your support to make our community safer and healthier!
Warm Regards Julie Tobbell.

Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑
Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.
We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
