South Brighton Voices - Concert

Jean from Linwood

Hi Folks, it's concert time again, and I'm pleased to advise that South Brighton Voices will be holding their winter concert on Sunday 23rd June at St Martin's Presbyterian Church, 43 St Martin's Road, at 2.00 p.m. See poster below.  We have a great programme, so hope you will be able to join us for this concert, and afternoon tea.

We are also looking for new singers to join us.  We are a friendly bunch of people, and enjoy social gatherings in the winter and at Christmas.   We practise on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 p.m. until 9.30 p.m. (with a cuppa at 8.30), at New Brighton Union Church, on the corner of Union and Collinwood Streets. If you would like to come along one evening, and join in our practise with us, please contact our Secretary, Helen Buxton, on 388 5456 or via her email, helenevz@xtra.co.nz

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
