UPDATE: Road Snowfall Warnings for these SH have now been lifted by MetService

Motorists are advised to exercise caution if they plan to drive through State Highways in the West Coast and Canterbury Region from noon Wednesday 26 August.

Key information:

ARTHUR'S PASS: MetService forecasts 2-4cm of snow to fall near the summit of SH73 between 2.00am and 6.00am Thursday morning.

MILFORD ROAD: Remain alert, chance that snow will affect the road surface between noon and 10.00pm tonight with 4-8cm forecast to settle on the road above 800m.
