Give your business a lift this year.
Afternoon all,
I'm looking for small businesses both new or existing that want to elevate their brands this year (if you aren't leveraging your business as a brand we need to talk!) After 15 years working for others in design businesses I took a leap last year to working in my own business and working alongside business owners passionate to push their brands to the next level. Success for your business is completely unique so a unique approach should be taken. Maybe it's getting more of the customers you want (and less of the price shoppers) or launching a new product to market. Strategic design can and should be part of your plan of action to achieve those goals.
If you're looking for Branding, Packaging or any promotional design in either the digital or traditional print space then please reach out. I am fully booked for my larger February projects so meetings are now taking place for spaces in March onwards. Reach out for a quick chat and check out my website at www.sorayaking.com.... Would love to be working with more local businesses.
Look forward to talking with you.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.4% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26.3% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.3% ... It is complicated

After ten years of depression, my life had hit rock bottom
I remember being ‘different’ around food for most of my life. This included things such as being the person who had two cream buns at morning tea when everyone else had one; eating icing sugar by the spoonful directly from the packet; and being the family member who went into the kitchen after dinner to eat the leftovers. There are numerous other examples – too many to list. I could overeat anything. If I couldn’t get my preferred favourites (e.g. chocolate), I’d be eating the vegetables.
