Garden tour
A major garden tour of Christchurch will take place on 19th and 20th Nov. This tour is planned by Wigram Lions Club to raise funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Child Cancer Foundation. Tickets may be obtained from any Oderings, Tera Viva or Portstone Nursery outlet or at any tour Garden on the day @ 25$ pp. This will include a free information brochure.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
