The www.nzflyingdoctors.co.nz... |New Zealand Flying Doctors| are only partly government funded, and it is only with the kindness and generosity of the community that we can continue to deliver this life-saving service. With mission numbers increasing each year, the need is greater than ever before.
Today we are asking you to support missions for neonatal and paediatric patients - with over 70 missions a year for children under 15 years of age, we are focused on getting each and every one of them the right medical care.
Your contribution will help save the lives of New Zealand children!

The region's September 2010 earthquake left the Lyttelton Lighthouse leaning over precariously after the foundations of the harbour’s eastern mole on which it stood subsided almost two metres.
It rested that way for eight months, tilting at an angle of 15 degrees – four times that of the Leaning Tower of Pisa – until it was rescued in May 2011. It was then carried by barge across the harbour to safe land, stored carefully near the entrance to the Lyttelton Tunnel.
With the mole, or breakwater, repaired as part of the project to build a cruise-ship berth in Lyttelton, the lighthouse was last week returned to its original spot and affixed to new foundations.
International shipping regulations mean the lighthouse will be off-limits to the public, although people will have a good view of it from nearby Naval Point – and of course from the sea.
And while its days as a navigation necessity came to an end in the early 1990s, the glow of its paraffin lamp replaced by modern lights, the Lyttelton Lighthouse will still shine out across the harbour.

Christchurch City Council has released a new version of its free wheelie bin app as residents continue to struggle to recycle correctly.
The updated app sends reminders about which bins need to be put out for kerbside collection each week and provides information about which items belong in the red, yellow and green bins.
It also includes a searchable database that allows you to search a rubbish item and see which bin it should go in.
The app can be downloaded for free from the Apple Store and Google Play.
If you already have the app downloaded it should update automatically over the next few days.
Do you think this will make it easier to recycle correctly?
