Probus is a social club that provides retirees and semi-retirees with social outings, fun and friendship as you take part in a range of activities, trips and outings.

Our Club meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month. The next meeting is at 9.45am Wednesday 19 March 2025 upstairs at the The Kaiapoi Club, 113 Ravens Quay, Kaiapoi.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
