Phillipstown murals walk.

Sarah from Waltham

10am 5th November
The Phillipstown Murals Walk is part of the Phillipstown Walks project.

The Phillipstown Walks is a series of free, resident-led guided walks within Phillipstown that celebrate local history and the knowledge residents hold.

This walk will focus on discovering the pieces of street art that colour the walls of many building in our neighbourhood.

This walk is organised in collaboration with Watch this Space. Reuben Woods, Watch this Space creative director (whose PhD focused on graffiti and street art within post-earthquake Christchurch) will lead our tour around Phillipstown.

Come along to learn and share stories about the Phillipstown murals and street art and connect with your neighbours.

The walk is perfect for the young, the old, those who have lived in Phillipstown for years, and our newest neighbours as well.

At the end of the walk, we will stop at the Phillipstown Community hub for a coffee or a juice while chatting about the walk and the street art in Phillipstown

The walk is about 2 km at a slow pace. If that's a possible issue, we recommend use of mobility aids.

In case of very bad weather conditions, the walk will be postponed to the following day, Sunday 6 November, same time.

Poll: Would you commute by public transport if it was free?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Using your car is convenient, except for finding parking.

Cycling lets you leave anytime, but you might arrive soaked.

So, neighbours, if public transport had the perk of being free, would it be your main way to commute?

Poll: Does grocery bagging affect where you shop?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

There's only a few differences between our larger chain supermarkets here in New Zealand. Having someone bag your groceries is one of them.

Does having your groceries packed for you at the checkout influence where you do your grocery shop? If so, tell us why.
