Phillipstown Rubbish Issues Residents Meeting

Viviana Zanetti from Phillipstown Community Hub

These are photos collected by our team just in the last 3 weeks.
This is absolutely gross, don't you agree?
Yes, you can use Snap Send Solve, and the Christchurch City Council will come and collect the rubbish, at the taxpayers expenses. But is it fair? Is this all we can do and expect that is done?

Let's meet and have a serious conversation.
Thursday 3 June at 6.30 at the Phillipstown Community Hub, Rm 10A.
The Police will be present together with a representative from Kainga Ora.

Join as and invite your neighbours too!

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
