Woolston Relocation News π’
Sadly our SPCA Op Shop in Woolston is closing down due to the lease ending but rest assured as we are relocating to Sydenham instead, with the shop now almost double the size! Opening in May, our new location will be ready to visit at 428 Colombo Street, Sydenham. Woolston's last day will be Monday 8th May 2023.
Along with Sydenham, please don't forget we still have four other locations available across Christchurch to visit at:
π Linwood Op Shop, 244 Linwood Avenue
π Riccarton Op Shop, 52 Acheron Drive
π Papanui Op Shop, 30 Main North Road
π Hornby Op Shop, 1 Amyes Road
π» Or shop from anywhere at any time and have items delivered straight to your door with our Online Op Shop at www.spcaopshops.nz...
Weβre so grateful for years of your support all helping to raise money for animals in need, thank you π
Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? π»π¨π
In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?
What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
-
36.5% The sting of a fine (Money talks!)
-
63.5% The threat of demerit points (Nobody wants to lose their license!)
βοΈ Whereβd the summer go?
Itβs the talk of the town (and every coffee queue): the Canterbury "summer" has felt a bit wet this year! Weβve definitely had our fair share of grey skies and raincoats lately π§οΈ In fact, the Post reports that Christchurch experienced almost double our usual!
While the forecast is looking bright for this weekend (fingers crossed!), we aren't out of the woods ... there are a few more cold fronts lining up before winter hits.
We want to hear from you: What are your go-to rainy-day activities? Whether youβre a local legend at the indoor courts or a professional movie-marathoner, share your secrets with us!
