Christmas light show

Luke from Hornby

Video: www.youtube.com...

Every year for over the last 10 years I have been putting up thousands of lights at Christmas. The last 5 years have seen me move into animating these displays (They react along with a song)
You may have seen parts of this display on Avonhead road or in St Albans over the last few years.

You are all welcome to come see this display in Dunluce Place in Hornby. You can't miss it, between the hours of 8:30PM to 10:30PM Sunday - Thursday and 8:30PM to 11:30PM Friday and Saturday nights. The lights are first switched on, on December 1st

If you drive use your car radio or if you decide to walk/bike, bring a phone that has the ability to tune into a radio station. You will want to tune into 107.2FM when you are outside the light display. (Otherwise it won't make any sense, other than just some flashing lights) I will try to avoid playing music through a stereo outside as to avoid annoying neighbors at late hours.

There is no cost involved so bring as many people as you want. If you need a map you can find us on Lightupchristmas at this link here:
www.lightupchristmas.co.nz...

Most of the lights you see featured in the display are not available in New Zealand stores, and a lot of the decorations are hand-made and/or modified versions to suit my show.
If you have any negative effects when viewing flashing lights, please take this as a warning that these lights will flash and change colour to music and may cause issues for some people.

Got more greens than you know what to do with? 🥦🌱🥕

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!

Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫

🌉🛶 Early Birds Might Crack This One First… or Not? 🥚🧠

The Riddler from The Neighbourly Riddler

A person is crossing a bridge and sees a boat full of people, yet there isn't a single person on board.
How is this possible?

(Susan from Massey kindly provided this head-scratcher ... thanks, Susan!)

Surplus vegetables.

Nola from Wigram

My favourite way to use these is in a frittatta. It's so easy to make and even the kids will usually eat it. Mine like cheese. There are heaps of frittatta recipes online.
