Here is some tips about Asparagus you might find useful.

If this news motivates you to rush out and buy some asparagus, here are some tips to make your experience even better:
1. Choose firm, crisp spears that don’t look dry or droopy. Fresh asparagus is squeaky when the stalks rub together.
2. Thin stems tend to be more tender but thick spears have a longer shelf life.
3. You can store asparagus in a jar with a little water (2cm) at the bottom, a bit like flowers. Or wrap them in a plastic bag and store in the fridge.
4. Asparagus can be eaten raw, fried, chargrilled, steamed, microwaved or baked.
5. Apart from baking, most cooking methods for asparagus will take just a few minutes.

Got more greens than you know what to do with? πŸ₯¦πŸŒ±πŸ₯•

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!

Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫

A person is crossing a bridge and sees a boat full of people, yet there isn't a single person on board.
How is this possible?

(Susan from Massey kindly provided this head-scratcher ... thanks, Susan!)

Surplus vegetables.

Nola from Wigram

My favourite way to use these is in a frittatta. It's so easy to make and even the kids will usually eat it. Mine like cheese. There are heaps of frittatta recipes online.
