1. Set up a Halloween Group for your street! Plan your Halloween evening with your neighbours to see what time everyone is taking the kids out. You could even co-ordinate matching costumes!
2. Download one of our SPOOKY Neighbourly Halloween posters to stick on your house or letterbox for if:
- You welcome all trick or treaters
- You want trick or treaters to stay away
3. Stay in areas of your neighbourhood that are familiar and are well lit. And although Halloween is supposed to be spooky, be careful not to frighten your elderly neighbours by popping out of the dark!

Halloween is nearly here – and we would love to invite you to help us celebrate a spooky evening around our neighbourhood.
On Tuesday 31st of October, children from our area will be dressing up and coming around in the early evening for a ‘trick or treat’, from approx. 5pm till 7.30pm.
If you would like to participate, please tie a decoration or balloon to your front gate/letterbox or hedge. This will let the kids know that you are happy for them to knock on your door – to ask for a sweet treat.

This is a serious problem, because your poor health is shared within your family, and with your friends, if fact with all the people you associate with. Our social connections, allow us to do, and stop us from doing, many things. That includes aht we choose to eat, and how we exercise, and what we think about health.
We can't become more healthy because this invisible web of social connection keeps us trapped. I am "me" because I do all these things that link me to everyone I know. Doing something different is impossible if your vision of yourself (the "me" you imagine) is going to changed in a way that would disappoint or confuse your friends. We share together, both the good and the bad.
