David Meates - Guest Speaker at GHRA Monthly Meeting today
David Meates (Mayoral Candidate) will be the special guest speaker at today's GHRA Meeting to be held at the Hornby Club from 2pm.
David Meates will outline his vision for Christchurch before taking questions from the floor. Everyone is most welcome to come along listen in or ask a question or two.
After David Meates it will be our normal monthly meeting so if you got any issues in and around Hornby or want to catch up on what is happening in Hornby then come along.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
