Supported learning courses build independence

Ara Institute of Canterbury

If you have a young person with an intellectual or learning disability, our Supported Learning courses can equip them with valuable skills and confidence for work and everyday life. They’ll become more independent, and if they've recently finished high school, it’ll help them transition smoothly into tertiary education.

At Ara, your young adult will be welcomed and encouraged by our dedicated Supported Learning tutors and staff who are committed to their wellbeing and success. They’ll also be part of the wider Ara student community and have the opportunity to participate in numerous on-campus events and activities.
