Sustainability in action
Graduates of Ara Institute of Canterbury’s sustainability and outdoor education programmes really ‘walk the talk’. With sustainability such an integral part of their studies, they’re naturally motivated to put sustainability into action, wherever they can.
Recent graduate Timea Kovacs encouraged local tourism company Christchurch Sea Kayaking to sign up to Tourism Industry Aotearoa’s new sustainability initiative. Now, staff at the kayaking business collect rubbish as they move through the water and clients naturally join in. “We need more businesses, especially tour operators, to showcase this behaviour change,” says Timea.

Response to regifting presents
My mind tends to wander:
I do not see any problem with regifting it back to the person who gave it, they obviously liked it. In fact, that might work out well as you buy the present you want, then gift it to someone you know who will gift it back.
Perfect, no decision needs to be made about Xmas presents
