Are you keen to give Mayor Ron Mark a dunk?
Are you keen to give the Former Minister of Defence and Carterton Mayor Ron Mark a dunk? Ron has kindly volunteered to being dunked on SUNDAY, 10 SEPTEMBER at the Carterton Daffodil Festival to raise funds for the CARTERTON INDOOR POOL Building Replacement Project.
THE POOL IS USED BY a diverse range of people, young and old, and is not just a place to learn to swim. It's a thriving community that is great for all-round wellbeing. It helps to keep our people mobile, active and connected.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
60% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
25.7% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.3% ... It is complicated
Builder Wanted or seeking builder (LBP).
We are looking for a semi-retired builder or solo LBP to supervise / co-work with me while I undertake an extension project as a self-build . Rates to be negotiated prior to commencement. Currently in the design stage at present with Architect. I have experience from past house builds so not a raw beginner, both in design and construction.
Thanks Phil
