Small Business for Sale - Carpet Overlocking

Brent from Masterton District

Carpet Overlocking Business for sale - Could be added to an existing business or may suit a retiree wanting some extra cash.

Time spent would be approximately 10 to 15 hours per week.

Offer a service to cut up left over carpets, overlock around the edges and make into mats or floor coverings.

Brilliant way of using up left over carpets

Sell to the end-users and all the local carpet stores.

Very well known, have been operating in Masterton since 2006, so approximately a 16 year old business.

Good range of wool colours to match the varying fashions, new and old carpets that come in.

Large table for working on, to cut to size and overlock on, which butts up to the Overlocker to support the mat while sewing around it.

Also included:

Shelves to store the wool on;

Stand to hold finished carpet mats;

Trolley to hold workgear etc.;

Straight edges, square, tape measure and scissors etc..

Would be a great add-on to an existing business.

May suit an ex-carpet layer as would be used to handling carpet.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Builder Wanted or seeking builder (LBP).

Phil from Carterton District

We are looking for a semi-retired builder or solo LBP to supervise / co-work with me while I undertake an extension project as a self-build . Rates to be negotiated prior to commencement. Currently in the design stage at present with Architect. I have experience from past house builds so not a raw beginner, both in design and construction.
Thanks Phil
