There's no doubt as a region we have a deep and rich love of books and reading - Yarns in Barns. our festival of reading, is on once again and kicks off this weekend! The Opening Night event is Chris Parker - fresh from his sold out NZ tour, hear him talk about his newly released book and his colourful life. Fri 14th at the Copthorne. Tickets $25 including nibbles and first drink.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Builder Wanted or seeking builder (LBP).
We are looking for a semi-retired builder or solo LBP to supervise / co-work with me while I undertake an extension project as a self-build . Rates to be negotiated prior to commencement. Currently in the design stage at present with Architect. I have experience from past house builds so not a raw beginner, both in design and construction.
