"Sending Love" Cards for those that may be alone over Christmas

Marilyn from Carterton District

Hi Everyone just a wee reminder that the "Sending Love" Drop Boxes are in place and awaiting your cards. Last year over 900 cards were collected and delivered locally, with your help we can reach out to more local people this Christmas

"Sending Love" is about people and communities coming together to make a festive gesture towards another person who may experience loneliness over Christmas. It is one person putting love and thought into a card to pass a smile and sense of feeling remembered and loved onto another person.
The cards will be collected from the Drop Boxes and delivered to rest homes, hospital, food banks, anywhere there is a need.
We welcome involvement from schools, kindies etc
Little tips about sending someone love in an envelope this year...
- Make sure your card is filled with love.
- Make it as creative as you can.
- Ensure it has a legible message (if a child’s words are illegible, please write in brackets underneath).
- Keep your envelope unsealed to give the rest homes discretion to check cards if they choose.
Just be you!
Please spread the word, tell your family and friends!!
Drop Boxes at:
- Almo’s Books
- Carterton Events Centre
- Greytown Library
- Martinborough library
- St Teresa’s School Fstn
- Mstn Library

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
