Bearded Iris WILD PEACOCK -potted

Joan from Masterton District

This tall bearded iris is called WILD PEACOCK.
Intriguing shades of maroon purple and brown. The beard is a contrasting gold tipped blue.
My parent clump is in flower at the moment. It is a late blooming iris.

Bearded Iris are easy to grow. They like to sunbathe and are frost hardy. They like the sun and a well drained spot in the garden but this plant survived some serious soggy ground this past winter.
Plant them with rhizomes sitting on top of the soil. This one could be eased out of its pot and put straight in the ground.

This is a dear little iris for people that like little things.

Its name is Mary B. Its a Miniature dwarf bearded iris.

I am selling at least three rhizomes of it and they will be bare rooted, trimmed and labelled. Plenty of time for it to get its roots down over the summer and surprise you next season.

Suitable for a rockery and does well in pots....easier to keep track of in a pot. It only grows about 10 cms high and is one of the first bearded irises to flower with its pretty little silver grey and maroon blooms.

Bearded iris like the sun, and free draining soil. Have no problem with the frost. Don't like being saturated for a long time though.

Thanks for looking.
