Ka Whawhai tonu Exhibition extended!
We've extended our amazing Ka whawhai tonu mātou Ake Ake Ake showcase which includes costumes from the ‘Ka Whawhai Tonu – Struggle Without End film'.
The showcase also explores the story of the events that took place in 1864 when British forces invaded the Waikato. Don’t forget to call in to the centre and take a look at these incredible costumes and story for yourself! The exhibition has been extended until May 30 2025.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
