First Charges Laid over Wage Subsidy
I know of many employers/businesses here in the Waikato who abused the Wage Subsidy when first introduced in 2020. I worked for one of them. Many got richer during & after getting the subsidy. I worked for one of them. Many laid staff off before or as soon as the Subsidy ran out. I know all about that as well because my employer laid me and another employee off as soon as subsidy expired! Anyone know of any employers abusing the wage subsidy last year or since, please do the right thing, Contact Ministry for Social Development and lodge your complaint. It's tax payers money that these employers got rich on while some of us, that were laid off, have and still are suffering while trying to survive on a benefit.
