Cambridge Edition is pushing pause on publishing

As some of you may have heard, the government advised that non-daily publications, such as community newspapers, are not considered essential services under the news and media designation during the Alert Level 4 lockdown. Unfortunately that means we won’t be able to print and deliver your paper over the remaining period of the lockdown. However, we will be putting all important local news/updates on our Neighbourly page during the period.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
