McDonald's staff at two Waikato restaurants were forced to hide in safe rooms and bathrooms after robbers struck on Friday. McDonald's on Queen St in Cambridge was the first to be robbed by several offenders at 3.55am.
A short time later what's believed to be the same assailants … View moreMcDonald's staff at two Waikato restaurants were forced to hide in safe rooms and bathrooms after robbers struck on Friday. McDonald's on Queen St in Cambridge was the first to be robbed by several offenders at 3.55am.
A short time later what's believed to be the same assailants again smashed their way into the McDonald's restaurant on Horsham Downs Rd in Rototuna. It appears several vehicle loads of offenders were involved in the incident.
Anyone with information which may be of use to police in these investigations to contact Hamilton police on 07 858 6200. Police are at the robbery scenes this morning and scene examinations are underway. Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers anonymously via 0800 555 111. Read more here.
