Get ready for Book reading Night

Cass from Te Awamutu

It's Book Night time again!
Join in 2017's fun nationwide reading event
Hello Book Night friends

Book Night is happening again this year and we thought you'd like to be part of it! Get out your diary or digital calendar and schedule 'reading for Book Night' on the evening of Tuesday 23 May.

A reminder of what to do: between 5pm and midnight on 23 May, pick up a book or e-book and read for fun for at least 15 minutes. Then register at bds.org.nz/booknight

Make sure you tell your friends, whanau and work colleagues. Get the tamariki enthused. Round up your book group. Remind everyone in your street. Or put a poster up in your workplace.

New features of the website this year are downloadable posters and event listings (check out the website to see how you can register an event in your local community). The website is also where you go to register participation on the night itself, which will enter you in the prize draw with major prizes of book vouchers to the value of $150 and $100.

I look forward to meeting you online on Book Night 23 May and seeing your messages and photos (optional).

Happy reading

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
